RakanQuran (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is developed by Nusantara Software. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the RakanQuran mobile application.
Summary
RakanQuran is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not require an account, and we do not sell your personal data.
Information stored on your device
The app saves the following preferences locally on your phone or tablet:
- Bookmarks (page numbers you save)
- Reading reminder settings (time and frequency)
- Tajweed display preferences
- Mushaf theme / skin choices
- Premium skin unlock status
This data stays on your device unless you uninstall the app or clear app storage. We do not operate a server that stores your reading activity or bookmarks.
Notifications
If you enable reading reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. You can turn reminders off at any time in Settings. Notification permission is requested only when you choose to use this feature.
Payments (optional)
You may optionally unlock premium mushaf themes through a one-time payment processed by Doku, our payment provider. When you start a payment, you are redirected to Doku’s secure checkout page. Payment details are handled by Doku according to their own privacy policy. We do not store your card or banking information in the app.
What we do not collect
- No user accounts or login
- No advertising or ad tracking
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the app
- No upload of your Quran reading history to our servers
Third-party services
- Doku — payment processing for optional premium themes
- Google Play — app distribution and, if applicable, standard platform services provided by Google
Children’s privacy
RakanQuran is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require registration.
Data retention and deletion
Data stored locally is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage in your device settings. Payment records, if any, are retained by Doku according to their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
